Mahindra pitches 'Namaste' as best remedy to curb spread of Coronavirus

With coronavirus death toll increasing every day, Anand Mahindra took to Twitter on Feb 16 and said that ‘Namaste’ is the best way to curb the spread of disease

With coronavirus death toll increasing every day, Industrialist Anand Mahindra took to microblogging website Twitter on Sunday, February 16, and stated that ‘Namaste’ is best way to curb spre of disease. He hailed Indian culture of greeting people and said that ‘Namaste’ should be opted globally. Mahindra furr ded that Indian ancestors used logic and common sense while creating customs.

A few days ago on January 25, Anand Mahindra shared ar post of medical authorities rescuing affected patients from streets of Wuhan. Looking at video, Mahindra tweeted that he hopes video was fake. He furr stated that we need to treat this as an emergency.

Coronavirus death toll increases 

death toll for vel Coronavirus hit 1,868 from February 17 to 18 in mainland China. As per  Chinese state health committee, it has increased by 98 in just one day. committee also ded that number of confirmed cases has gone up by 1,886 to 72,436.

First detected in city of Wuhan, in Hubei Province of China, virus outbreak has w spre across 20 countries since December 2019. About 1,701 people have recovered from disease, whereas, a total of 12,552 coronavirus patients have by w been discharged from hospitals. World Health Organisation (WHO) has dubbed virus as COVID-19.

Some of countries currently affected by virus include Singapore, Thailand, Japan, India, and United States.
