Major Reshuffle In Delhi Police, 7 Special Commissioners Assigned New Responsibilities

New Delhi: The Delhi Police saw a major reshuffle at the top level in the department as seven Special Commissioner rank officials were transferred and assigned new responsibilities on Thursday. The Delhi Lt Governor Vinai Kumar Saxena ordered the transfer of 7 IPS officers including the names of Nuzhat Hassan, Neeraj Thakur, Devesh Chandra Srivastava, Ajay Chaudhry, Jaspal Singh, Sharad Agarwal, and Chhaya Sharma.

An order was issued by the Delhi government on the recommendation of the Police Establishment Board. As per the order, "The Hon'ble Lt. Governor, Delhi, is pleased to order the transfer posting of the following IPS officers, presently posted in Delhi, with immediate effect on the recommendation of the Police Establishment Board."

7 Special Commissioners Assigned New Responsibilities

As per the order, Nuzhat Hassan (IPS batch:1991) has been transferred from Special Commissioner Police of Economic Offences Wing to Human Resources Division.

Neeraj Thakur (IPS batch:1994) has been transferred from Special CP (MD), Delhi Police Corporation Ltd. to Special CP (MD), Delhi Police Housing Corporation Ltd. (Additional Change of Armed Police Division.

Ajay Chaudhry (IPS batch: 1996) has been transferred from the Special CP Armed Police Division, to the Special CP Traffic Management Division (Zone III).

Chhaya Sharma (IPS batch: 1999) has been transferred from the Special CP Training Division to the Special CP Training Division (Additional Charge of Special Police Unit for Women and Children and Special Police Unit For North-Eastern Region).

Devesh Chandra (IPS batch: 1995), Jaspal Singh (IPS batch: 1996), and Sharad Agarwal (IPS batch: 1997) have been transferred to the Special CP Crime Division, Special CP Protective Security Division, and Special CP Economic Offences Wing, respectively.

Earlier in another major reshuffle in Delhi Police, at least 25 IPS officers were transferred by Delhi LG in January this year.

These 25 officers included special commissioners Deependra Pathak, Ravindra Singh Yadav, HGS Dhaliwal, and two Delhi, Andaman and Nicobar Islands Police Service officers, among others.

Besides the 25 Special CPs, 16 Deputy Commissioners of Police- rank officers were also transferred by the Delhi LG.
