Mamata Banerjee: 'Bengal is proud and is moving forward'
Mamata Banerjee praising the Nobel Prize winner Abhijit Banerjee and former ICC captain Sourav Ganguly stated that "Bengal is proud and is moving forward."

West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee on Wednesday, October 16, during a press conference praised bel Prize laureate Abhijit Banerjee and former Indian cricket captain Sourav Ganguly and stated that "Bengal is proud and is moving forward." Along with this, Chief Minister has personally thanked Banerjee and Ganguly on Twitter. Indian-American Abhijit Banerjee won bel Prize in Ecomic Sciences on Monday. On same day, Sourav Ganguly filed his mination for BCCI president post.
Abhijit Banerjee wins bel Prize
Ford Foundation International Professor of Ecomics at Massachusetts Institute of Techlogy won bel Prize in Ecomics on October 14, along with Esr Duflo and Michael Kremer for ir experimental approach to alleviating global poverty. According to ble Prize Committee, ir research has considerably improved world's ability to fight global poverty. West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee has expressed her wishes on Twitter. Along with it, Banerjee on Wednesday met family members of Abhijit Banerjee at ir residence in Kolkata. According to her, more people like Abhijit Banerjee should continue ir work for society. Indian-American pursued his education at University of Calcutta, Jawarharlal Nehru University, and acquired his PhD in 1988 from Harvard University.

Sourav Ganguly set to become BCCI President
Former Indian Cricket Captain (ICC) Sourav Ganguly is all set to become President of Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI). According to reports, Ganguly filed his mination for post of BCCI president in Mumbai on Monday. However, as 47-year-old is only candidate for top post of Indian cricket, he is set to be elected upposed. Sourav Ganguly h an illustrious career as a player, captain, mentor and president of Cricket Association of Bengal (CAB). Ganguly is also part of Cricket visory Committee (CAC) along with former teammates Sachin Tendulkar and VVS Laxman. West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee has expressed her wishes to Ganguly on Twitter. She stated that he has me "India and Bangla proud."
