Man Arrested for Desecrating Idol at Temple in Telangana

A man was arrested for allegedly desecrating an idol at a temple in Shamshabad mandal, Ranga Reddy district. The investigation is underway, police said.

Hyderab: A man was arrested for allegedly desecrating an idol at a temple in Shamshab mandal, Ranga Reddy district, police said on Sunday.

incident took place in Jukal vill on Saturday night. Apart from desecrating idol, alleged man took out ornaments and put it aside, a senior police official said.

Local residents gared and std a protest, demanding action against person responsible for incident. He was later arrested, and a case has been filed. investigation is underway, official ded.

Navagraha idols in a temple at Shamshab were found damd on vember 5, leing to detention of a person, police earlier said.

Also, an idol was desecrated at Muthyalamma temple in Secunderab on night of October 13-14, sparking protests from local residents and Hindu organisations. A 30-year-old man from Maharashtra , allegedly involved in similar acts in Mumbai, was arrested in connection with this incident.
