Man Killed Over Delayed Order at West Delhi Dhaba, Two Arrested

The victim, identified as 29-year-old Harneet Singh Sachdeva, had placed an order at the eatery when an altercation erupted due to the delay.

New Delhi: A man was allegedly killed early Wednesday morning following a heated argument over a delayed food order at a dhaba in West Delhi's Rajouri Garden area, according to the police. 

The victim, identified as 29-year-old Harneet Singh Sachdeva, had placed an order at the eatery when an altercation erupted due to the delay.

The eatery's staff reportedly contacted the owners, Ketan Narula and Ajay Narula, who arrived at the scene with additional people. 

A physical fight broke out between Sachdeva, his friends, and the owners, leading to the tragic outcome. 

“Preliminary investigation revealed that the victim, Harneet Singh Sachdeva (29), had visited a dhaba early in the morning and placed an order, Deputy Commissioner of Police (West) Vichitra Veer. Due to the delay in his order, an altercation ensued between Sachdeva and the eatery staff. The staff then contacted the dabba owners, Ketan Narula and Ajay Narula, who arrived at the scene with some other people and a fight broke out between Sachdeva, his friends and the owners”, DCP Veer said.

Sachdeva was later rushed to the hospital by his friends, where he was declared dead on arrival.

Two of the accused have been arrested in connection with the incident and further investigation is underway. 

The police said that we are also looking into how the restaurant was operating at that hour, they added.
