Mandatory e-registration for those travelling to Punjab from Monday midnight
People travelling to Punjab from other states will have to compulsorily register themselves on the state government's web portal or ‘COVA Punjab’ mobile application from Monday midnight, an official statement said.

“ process of e-registration for all travellers to state has been me mandatory from midnight today. Travellers can self-register online from comfort of ir homes, as per guidelines issued by government, and ensure hassle-free travel for mselves,” a government statement said here on Monday.

“People should take printouts of registration and paste same on windscreens or place m on dashboard,” statement said, ding that at border checkpoints, staff will scan QR code on printouts.
This will be followed by basic medical screening, it said. In case a passenger exhibits coronavirus symptoms, health staff at border checkpoint will assist and guide passenger(s).

“Passengers (those who are asymptomatic) entering state and t merely transiting it, after successfully crossing check-point, will have to undergo self-quarantine at ir homes for 14 days,” it said.
During quarantine, y will be required to report ir medical status daily eir by calling 112 or through COVA Punjab app, statement ded.

COVA Punjab (Corona Virus Alert) application has been developed by state government to provide people with preventive care information and or visories regarding coronavirus. In case of symptomatic passengers, appropriate instructions will be given at check-point, statement said.
All relevant details about visitors/residents coming into Punjab would be shared with health authorities and police stations concerned through a real-time alert system.
