Mangaluru student enters India Book of Records for longest gift box
Apeksha Kottary, a post-graduate student from Mangaluru has entered the India Book of Records by making the longest gift item, which is an explosion box.

Apeksha Kottary, a post-graduate student from Mangaluru has entered the India Book of Records by making the longest gift item. Reportedly, she has designed an explosion box on the theme of ‘Incredible India’. Apart from being a home tutor, she is also pursuing her master’s from the Beasant Evening College in Mangaluru. According to her, she was interested in making gifts and craft items for her friends and relatives on their birthdays and anniversaries since childhood. Subsequently, she honed her art by watching videos on YouTube and also learned to make gift boxes.

She said, "I am from Mangaluru and I have entered the India Book of Records. I was really interested in making craft items since my childhood. I used to make gift items and craft items for my friends and relatives on their birthdays and anniversaries. Gradually I started watching Youtube videos and learned to make gift boxes and other items.”

'Will apply for Guinness World Record'
Kottary has made over 35 different types of gift items until now. She revealed that she had also entered the Exclusive World Records for her feat. Describing the dimensions of the box, she stated that it had pictures and information about all states, Union Territories, great personalities and freedom fighters of India. Furthermore, she observed that she would apply for her name to be included in the Guinness Book of World Records.

"The measurement of this box is 25x25 cm when closed and when opened, its length is around 1,000 cms. The entire box has been designed on the theme 'Incredible India'. It consists of pictures and information of all the states, Union Territories, great personalities of India and freedom fighters of India. I will apply for Guinness World Record as well," Kottary opined.
The India Book of Records aims to provide an international platform to Indians showcasing exceptional talent. It has been in existence for the last 13 years.
