Prime Minister Narendra Modi emphasized on need to remain indoors & practice social distancing in order to beat coronavirus, as he dressed country through his 'Mann Ki Baat' brocast. Talking about COVID-19 battle that India was currently engd in, PM Modi singled out remaining indoors as only manner in which virus could be beaten in a huge country like India.
Taking cognizance of impact of unprecedented lockdown, PM Modi said that it was essential to do so in a country whose population is 1.3 billion, explaining that countries that did t take steps were suffering most and apologized for inconveniences that people of India were facing.

PM Modi sets up fund to fight Coronavirus
With India battling Coronavirus pandemic which has ensnared globe in a vice-like grip, Prime Minister Narendra Modi has set up a charitable trust where citizens, corporates, organisations and just about anyone else can contribute funds towards relief effort. fund is called Prime Minister's Citizen Assistance and Relief in Emergency Situations Fund, and is being called PM CARES. PM is Chairman of this trust, with Defence Minister, Finance Minister and Home Minister or members. re are a number of ways to donate to fund, one of which is via a bank transfer, and donations will be exempted from income tax under section 80(G). As per PM Modi, fund will also cater to or distressing situations, if y occur in times ahe.
