Mann Ki Baat: PM talks about 550th Prakash Purab of Guru Nanak Dev

During his 58th Mann Ki Baat address, PM Modi extended Diwali wishes to the countrymen and also spoke about the upcoming 550th Prakash Purab of Guru Nanak Dev

During his 58th 'Mann Ki Baat' radio address, Prime Minister Narendra Modi conveyed his greetings to countrymen on auspicious and joyous occasion of Diwali. Prime Minister also briefly spoke about 550th Prakash Purab celebrations of Guru Nanak Dev Ji, which will be celebrated across world on vember 12. PM Modi stated significance of Guru Nanak Dev Ji's teachings.

PM Modi said, "vember 12 is day, when, whole world will celebrate 550th Prakash Purab of Sri Guru Nanak Dev Ji. Today t only India but whole world is witnessing impact of Guru Nanak Dev Ji. re are many Sikh brors and sisters across world who are completely dedicated to teachings and beliefs of Guru Nanak."

'Guru Nanak Dev Ji's believed in selfless service'

While talking furr about Guru Nanak Dev Ji's dedication towards 'service', Prime Minister said, "He always kept service above everything else. Guru Nanak dev Ji believed that re is service in world which is greater than selfless service. During his days, he even stood firmly against social evils like untouchability."

During his 'Mann Ki Baat' address, PM Modi also spoke about ambassadors of 85 countries visiting Golden Temple. "A few days ago, Ambassadors of around 85 countries had gone to Amritsar from New Delhi. visit by ambassadors was undertaken on occasion of 550th Prakash Purab of Guru Nanak dev Ji. Upon reaching Amritsar, y t only prayed at Golden Temple but also learned more about tradition and culture of Sikhism. Post ir visit, a lot of ambassadors also took to social media, to share pictures from visit."
