Massive Fire Erupts In 22-Storey Residential Building In Ahmedabad, Over 100 People Rescued

Ahmedab: A massive fire broke out at a 22-storey residential apartment in Ahmedab's Bopal area in Gujarat leing to major chaos among residents. Reports suggested that fire broke out on 8th floor of building leaving several people trapped in building. It is being claimed that over 100 people were rescued by police and firefighters during rescue operations. 

On information, Ahmedab Police and fire services personnel rushed to spot and initiated firefighting operations. 

According to fire officials, a woman was evacuated from building in an unconscious condition and was rushed to a nearby hospital for treatment. 

Fire Officer Mithun Mistry said, “A fire broke out on 8th floor of Iscon Platinum. Around 100 people were evacuated.” 

"One unconscious woman was sent to hospital. Fire has been brought under control," fire officer stated.
