Mayawati: Decision on SC/ST Act has exposed bitter realities of Dalits

BSP president Mayawati on Wednesday said Supreme Court's decision on SC/ST Act have brought to fore "bitter life realities" and struggles of Dalit society and also exposed "Dalit love" of ruling BJP and Congress. Supreme Court on Tuesday recalled its direction in March 20, 2018 verdict which had virtually diluted provisions of arrest under SC/ST Act.

Mayawati on Supreme Court judgement

In a tweet, Mayawati said that " Supreme Court, while restoring provisions of SC/ST Act 1989 in its judgement yesterday, has verified facts regarding bitter life realities and struggles of Dalit society. y especially exposed Dalit love of ruling BJP and Congress. It is necessary that country and society remain aware."

Mayawati on NITI Ayog in UP

In ar tweet, former Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister spoke about Uttar Pradesh and Uttarakhand faring badly on NITI Ayog's ranking in terms of school education. "Uttar Pradesh and Uttarakhand are ranked lowest in country in terms of school education ranking of NITI Ayog. Will parties which have ruled country and state for longest time, especially Congress and BJP be able to give an answer to public on Gandhi Jayanti today as to why re is such a shameful crisis," she said.
