Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) Supremo Mayawati on Wednesday has slammed BJP government on Twitter, alleging that special session of Uttar Pradesh Legislative Assembly convened on 150th birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi is just an attempt by State government to hide its failures due to ineffective governance in State.
In a tweet, she said, "Holding a special session of UP Legislative Assembly on Gandhiji's 150 birth anniversary is t to deliberate on his works but to hide failures of its government by BJP. This is why BSP has deployed its MLAs in real public service to help flood victims."

Mayawati slams Congress
In ar tweet, Mayawati has slammed Congress for staying in power for longest period of time in Centre and various States, yet t been able to deliver on Mahatma Gandhi’s dreams for nation. She has also taken a dig at Congress for conducting a march on eve of 150th birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi.

She tweeted, "In spite of being in power for longest time in various States including Uttar Pradesh and Centre, when Congress party could t realise Gandhiji's dreams even a little bit n what can y w do by holding marches while being out of power. same situation is being seen in BJP government. public needs to remain alert.”

36-hour long Marathon discussion
To mark 150th birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi, a special Uttar Pradesh Assembly session is being held in which a 36-hour marathon discussion would take place on development goals. However, BSP legislators were missing from session.
Mayawati-led BSP was first party to declare its candidates for by-elections seat in Uttar Pradesh. Mayawati is w busy with upcoming assembly elections of Haryana and party has come out with list of 41 candidates to contest Haryana Assembly elections.
