MBBS Student Commits Suicide in Hostel Room in UP
A second year MBBS student has committed suicide by hanging himself from the ceiling of the hostel room, worrying about failing because of low attendance.

Barabanki: Worried about failing due to low attendance, a second-year MBBS student of a private college allegedly committed suicide by hanging himself from ceiling of his hostel room in Safedab town here, police said on Monday.

Yav's roommate Manish Kumar h gone to hostel mess for dinner on Friday night. After returning, he found hostel room locked from inside. Kumar called out his roommate's name several times but re was response, police said.
Or students and hostel staff soon gared re, broke open door and found Yav's body hanging from ceiling with a bedsheet, y said.

After receiving information about incident, police reached spot. suicide te was found in room, y ded.
Yav's far Dr Omprakash Yav and or family members were also informed and y reached college from Varanasi on October 12.

Or students told police that Yav was stressed due to his low attendance and feared that he would fail.
Station House Officer, Kotwali police station, Ajay Kumar Tripathi said an investigation has been launched into matter to ascertain reason behind Yav's extreme step.

Yav's elder bror Chandrashekhar said he h recently visited his bror's college to enquire about his health and h asked him to come home but he refused.
