MEA tells Imran Khan to 'Pay attention to Pak matters' after Pak PM condemns India's CAB

Slamming Pakistan Prime Minister's comments on India's recently passed Citizenship Amendment Bill (CAB), MEA spokesperson Raveesh Kumar, on Thursday, stated that re was need to respond to Khan's every unwarranted comment, in weekly press briefing. He furr stated that Pakistan must pay attention to its own nation than comment on internal matters of India. He ded that such comments do t absolve country's blatant persecution of mirities.

MEA slams Imran Khan's comments on CAB
"I don't think we need to respond to every unwarranted and gratuitous comment me by Pakistani Prime Minister Imran Khan on our internal affairs. Such comments cant absolve Pakistan of blatant persecution of religious mirities which flows, including from discrimination imbibed in its Constitution, draconian blasphemy laws. He should rar pay attention to condition of mirities in Pakistan than comment on internal matters of India," he said.

Imran Khan meddles into India's CAB
Previously on Tuesday, ahe of Home Minister Amit Shah tabling Citizenship Amendment Bill in Lok Sabha, Imran Khan h claimed that Indian Citizenship legislation violated all rms of international human rights & bilateral agreements. He also alleged that it was BJP's design to create a 'Hindu Rashtra' in India. He h alleged such similar sentiments on revocation of article 370, often fearmongering over ground condition in Kashmir. He h also minated himself as ambassor of Indian state - Jammu & Kashmir claiming that he will fight case for freedom of Kashmir till very end.

Rajya Sabha passes CAB
On Wednesday, Rajya Sabha passed Citizenship Amendment Bill, 2019 (CAB) by a majority of 125-105 votes. Citizenship Amendment Bill amends Citizenship Act 1955 to make refugees who are Hindus, Sikhs, Buddhists, Jains, Parsis and Christians from Afghanistan, Banglesh and Pakistan, eligible for citizenship. Moreover, Bill exempts exempt inner line permit areas in Nagaland, Mizoram and Arunachal Presh and areas falling under Sixth Schedule in region and will be applicable to members of se communities having arrived in India on or before December 31, 2014.
