Warangal's MGM Hospital to be developed on lines of Gandhi Hospital in Hyderabad

MGM Hospital in Warangal is being developed on the lines of Gandhi Hospital in Hyderabad to offer better treatment to COVID-19 patients, said Etela Rajender.

Telangana Health Minister Etela Rajender said that Warangal's MGM Hospital is being developed on lines of Gandhi Hospital in Hyderab to offer better treatment to COVID-19 patients, according to Chief Minister's Office (CMO). This will increase bed's strength to 750, said state's Health Minister.

MGM Hospital, Warangal to be developed for treating COVID patients

A review meeting with medical officers was held after visiting MGM hospital along with Ministers KT Rama Rao, Satyavathi Rathod, Dayakar Rao and a few ors. Rajender said in meeting that facilities were created across state to conduct coronavirus tests and offer treatment from government side.

Rajender ded, "In MGM Hospital in Warangal, re are 340 beds kept rey with Oxygen facility for COVID-19 patients. beds' strength will shortly be increased to 750. Doctors, staff, PPE Kits, ventilators, medicines, tests kits are kept rey in equate numbers." Health Minister ded that special mobile labs would be sent to MGM Hospital, Warangal.

Rama Rao said in meeting that state government has taken all necessary measures to stop spre of COVID-19 and to offer better treatment to patients. Upon instructions given by government, more focus was laid on Warangal because after Hyderab, it is  second-largest city. A special Corona ward has been created in MGM Hospital. government is also creating a COVID-19 ward in KMC. arrangements in hospital are such that patients will longer have to go to Hyderab or any or private hospital for treatment.

Minister also informed that death rate due to Coronavirus is below 1% and approximately more than 81% of people who have Coronavirus were found to be asymptomatic. He said in a statement,  "People should t entertain any fear. only medicine for those affected with virus is fearlessness. Those who are suffering from virus, wher y are in hospitals or home Isolation, doctors are monitoring m, giving m suggestions, medicines and help. Isolation Kits are given to all those affected with virus. We are creating isolation centres for those whose relatives are t coming forward to help. For those who died, if ir relatives are t coming forward to perform last rites, government is doing it."

We have given powers to Collectors to appoint temporary staff. Improve biomedical waste manment and disposal."
