'Missing' IAS Officer Puja Khedkar Moves Delhi Court for Anticipatory Bail, Hearing Today

IAS officer Puja Khedkar, who has been on the run for many days, has moved a Delhi Court for anticipatory bail; the hearing will take place today.

New Delhi: IAS Officer Puja Khedkar, who has been surrounded by various controversies and has been ‘missing’ for the past many days and the police has not been able to trace her.

The IAS Officer has now moved a Delhi Court for anticipatory bail; the hearing of the same will take place today.

IAS Officer Puja Khedkar Files for Anticipatory Bail, Hearing Today

Patiala House Court of Delhi will hear the anticipatory bail application of probationary IAS officer Pooja Khedkar on Tuesday. 

This is in relation to an FIR registered against her for allegedly "faking her identity to fraudulently avail attempts beyond the permissible limit" in the civil services examination.

The anticipatory bail plea was listed for hearing on July 27, before Additional Sessions Judge Devender Kumar Jangala. 

The court noted that an application under Section 338 of Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita (BNSS), 2023 for allowing to file an objection and assisting the Addl. PP is moved, on behalf of the complainant.

Where is Puja Khedkar?

The Police has been trying to find the IAS officer but she has remained ‘untraceable’ for the last seven days.

Her phone remains unreachable and the police is making an attempt to find her.

LBSNAA in Mussoorie had suspended Khedkar's training and ordered her immediate return by July 23 for further action but she did not report to the training institute.

Single-Member Panel Submits Report on Puja Khedkar's Candidature

In another related news, a single-member panel appointed by the Center to investigate the controversial case of probationary IAS officer Pooja Khedkar has done its inquiry and submitted its report to the Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT).

Manoj Dwivedi, Additional Secretary in the Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT), is the sole member of the committee who conducted the inquiry on IAS Khedkar.
