MNS Will be Part of Next BJP-led Maharashtra Govt: Raj Thackeray

The Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) of Raj Thackeray is not a part of the Mahayuti, comprising the BJP, Shiv Sena and Deputy CM Ajit Pawar's NCP.

Mumbai: Ahe of Maharashtra Assembly Elections 2024, MNS (MNS) chief Raj Thackeray has reportedly predicted that next state Chief Minister will be from BJP and his party will be part of government. 

For unversed, Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) of Raj Thackeray is not a part of Mahayuti, comprising BJP , Shiv Sena and Deputy CM Ajit Pawar 's NCP, but supported ruling alliance in Lok Sabha polls held earlier this year.

Meanwhile, Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fnavis said BJP still wants to throw its weight behind MNS he Raj Thackeray's son Amit Thackeray in Mahim assembly seat, which ruling Shiv Sena is also contesting. "Efforts will be me to find a solution to this", Fnavis told reporters.

senior BJP leer also said his party would try to convince most of its rebels to withdraw ir nominations, but ded that re will be friendly fights in some seats in November 20 state polls.

Shiv Sena, led by CM Eknath Shinde , has fielded sitting MLA Sa Sarvankar from Mahim, while Mahesh Sawant is candidate of Shiv Sena (UBT) heed by former CM Uddhav Thackeray from seat in Mumbai.

Fnavis said BJP and CM Shinde h a consensus on supporting MNS candidate Amit Thackeray, who is making his electoral debut, in Mahim assembly constituency.

"However, leers from Shinde-led Shiv Sena argued that if party does not contest election, its dedicated voters would shift to Uddhav Thackeray-led Shiv Sena (UBT). BJP was rey to support Amit and is still firm on its stand," he said.

Asked about solution to this conundrum, Fnavis said, "When we (leers of Mahayuti) meet, we will discuss and try to find a solution."

Mahim has witnessed birth of undivided Shiv Sena (1966) and n MNS, which came into existence in 2006 when Raj Thackeray charted his own independent political course.

Fnavis also maintained that every major political party in state has been facing challenge of rebels in assembly elections.
