New Delhi: When new Narendra Modi 3.0 government was sworn in at Rashtrapati Bhawan on Sunday, several notable figures from previous Modi 2.0 ministration (2019-2024) were absent from list of ministers taking oath. Smriti Irani, Anurag Thakur, and Narayan Rane, along with 34 or BJP leers, didn't find a place in Modi 3.0 cabinet. Irani, who previously served as Women and Child Development Minister, lost Lok Sabha election from Uttar Presh’s Amethi to Congress candidate Kishori Lal Sharma. Notably, senior party leers including Amit Shah, Rajnath Singh, Nitin Gkari, Piyush Goyal, Ashwini Vaishnaw, Nirmala Sitharaman, and Mansukh Mandaviya were present at Modi’s tea party held this morning. This event, a trition Modi has upheld since 2014, precedes Cabinet formation exercise.
