MoS Muraleedharan hails Kamala Harris' achievements on Pravasi Bharatiya Divas
Calling the Indian Diaspora the second-largest worldwide, Muraleedharan said that Indians aced various roles in different countries of the world.

dressing a virtual Pravasi Bharatiya Divas conference related to ‘Role of Diaspora in Promotion of Indian Culture Abro,’ Minister of State for External Affairs MoS V Muraleedharan extended best wishes for US Vice President-elect Kamala Harris on Tuesday, December 8.
Muraleedharan hailed Harris’ achievements, saying that she was first woman to reach apex of power in United States and Indians are ever so proud of her. Hailing US VP elect’s example, MoS said that Indian Diaspora is among top and most successful ex-pat communities globally.

Calling Indian Diaspora second-largest worldwide, Muraleedharan said that Indians aced various roles in field of politics, ecomy, industry, techlogy, and education in different countries of world. Despite migration for opportunities, heterogeneous n-resident Indians were identified and united by ir deep-rooted cultural inclination for ir country and sentimental values and emotions, MoS said.

"Indian diaspora overseas was weaved as one due to ir 'Indianess'", Muraleedharan asserted, ding that this group was also exceedingly attached towards 'Mor India'.
Pravasi Bharatiya Divas
Muraleedharan was speaking at event organised by Indian Council for Cultural Relations (ICCR) and Overseas Indian Affairs Division of Ministry of External Affairs in partnership with Diaspora Research and Resource Centre, Antar Rashtriya Sahayog Parish (ARSP). conference is an essential segment for annual flagship Pravasi Bharatiya Divas.

"I would like to recall formations of Government under President Irfan Ali in Guyana and President Chandrikapers Santokhi in Suriname," Muraleedharan told conference.
"Indian origin leers have also done exceptionally well at recently-held elections in United States," he said. Furrmore, he ded, "re are leers of Indian origin in Congress, Senate and scores have won seats in State legislatures in USA. We are all proud of ir victories, congratulate m and wish m all success."

Of many integral roles held by Indians abro, MoS highlighted key positions such as mediators, bridges, facilitators, lobby and vocacy groups who supported India's national security and ecomic interests, all while maintaining ir ethcultural roots. "We were also looking forward to sharing with you in person various policy initiatives for shaping idea of "New India", including concept of Atmanirbhar Bharat," Muraleedharan told virtual conference.
