Most Parts of Kashmir Valley Reel Under Sub-Zero Temperature
Srinagar and other places in Kashmir experienced sub-zero minimum temperature for the second straight night

Srinagar: Most places in Kashmir continued to experience sub-zero temperatures overnight as winter chill took hold of Valley following recent snowfall in higher altitudes.
For second consecutive night, Srinagar and or areas in Kashmir recorded minimum temperatures below freezing.

Last week's snowfall in higher reaches has intensified cold conditions across region.
Srinagar's temperature dropped to minus 0.4 degrees Celsius, a slight improvement from previous night’s low of minus 0.7 degrees Celsius, according to wear office.

However, night temperature was still 1.1 degrees Celsius below normal for this time of season.
Qazigund recorded a low of minus 2 degrees Celsius, while minimum in Pahalgam settled at minus 3.2 degrees Celsius, coldest in Valley.

Gulmarg ski resort registered a low of 0 degree Celsius, while Kupwara shivered at minus 0.9 degree Celsius.
At Kokernag, minimum settled above freezing point at 0.7 degree Celsius, officials said.

Meteorological Department has forecasted that cold wear conditions will persist until November 23.
On November 24, wear would likely be cloudy with a possibility of light rain/snow at scattered places of Kashmir, especially in higher reaches.
