MP Govt introduces eggs in mid-day meal scheme, BJP alleges conspiracy
There has been a new revolution in the mid-day meal scheme introduced by the Anganwadis in MP as they have included eggs in the new menu to end malnutrition

re has been a new revolution in mid-day meals introduced by Anganwis in Mhya Presh as y have included eggs in new menu to end problem of malnutrition in State. Women and Child Development Minister, Imarti Devi, is woman behind this change in food patterns of children in State. She while speaking to ANI said that a scheme on similar lines was prepared by State during last term but previous government failed to implement it.

Speaking about new Mid-day meal scheme, Imarti Devi said, “This is our new scheme. Eggs will be provided to children in midday meal offered to children in Anganwis from vember. All we care about is ending malnutrition and ensuring that our children are taken care of. We have taken several initiatives and introduced various schemes for welfare of children in state, be it 313 Anganwis, eggs in mid-day meal or new bus service to take care of children when ir parents go to work”. When asked about opposition’s objection to new scheme, Imarti Devi ded that "We don't care about opposition to this scheme. All we care about is that children get nutrition y need."

Opposition’s view on mid-day meal scheme
opposition, while talking about scheme, raised ir concerns about vegetarian children in State. Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) MLA Rameshwar Sharma, said, “re is question of objecting to any scheme of state government. All we are saying is that vegetarian children also come to se Anganwis and that separate arrangement should be me for m as well," he said. Apart from this, Sharma went ahe and said that it is Kamal Nath’s government in State that is “malurished”.

Ar member of opposition and BJP spokesperson Rahul Kothari claimed that re is a conspiracy behind Congress's government decision to introduce this scheme. He said, “BJP government also took several key initiatives to end malnutrition in State and we also won several international awards for same. We think this decision by government is a part of a larger conspiracy. If an attempt is me to harm religious culture of country, we will t accept it. We h also prevented State Government's attempt to sell chicken and milk next to each or. government should work as per culture in country”.
