MP man buys scooty with coins, showroom takes 4 hours to count
Rakesh Gupta from Satna, Madhya Pradesh bought Honda Activa on Dhanteras (Diwali) & made the payment of Rs 83,000 in coins of denomination of Rs 5 & Rs 10.

Believe it or not - a man from Satna, Madhya Pradesh just bought himself a brand new Honda Activa scooty, and he paid in coins. Yes, it is true — Rakesh Gupta made the full payment of Rs 83,000 in the denomination of Rs 5 and Rs 10 coins. It doesn't end here — the workers in the showroom took four complete hours to count the packets that he brought along with him in several gunny bags.
"On Dhanteras, Rakesh Gupta came to our showroom in an auto with several gunny bags. He expressed his desire to purchase a Honda Activa 125 BSVI. I talked to the showroom owner Ashish Puri who said that the counting of coins will take time. We did not want to disappoint anyone on Dhanteras, and so decided to fulfill his wish," Anupam Mishra, the showroom manager was quoted talking to a news agency.
One user on Twitter commented: "Why count coins, just weigh them and do the math. Will be done in less than 120 secs. Also, do random sampling to ensure its 5 & 10 coins only. MP Man Buys Honda Activa and Pays Rs 83,000 in Coins, Dealership Takes Over 3 Hours to Count" [sic]
