MP: Paintings of 80-year-old tribal woman on exhibit in Italy's Milan

The Paintings and artworks created by an 80-year-old tribal woman from Madhya Pradesh are now being exhibited at an ongoing exhibition in Milan, Italy

Paintings and artworks created by an 80-year-old woman in Mhya Presh are being exhibited at an ongoing exhibition in Milan, Italy. Jhaiya Bai Baiga, who is a local resident of Lohra vill in Umaira district from Mhya Presh, has been painting for deces. Her painting style mainly includes nature and animals.

Speaking to ANI, she said that she has been painting for more than four deces to support her family and w paints for most part of her day.

"I paint all kinds of animals and whatever I see around. I have visited several parts of India to paint. ways, I don't do anything else that painting. I started this when I lost my partner 40 years ago. I h to do something for survival and to take care of my family," Jhaiya Bai Baiga said.

Ashish Swami, Jhiya Bai's teacher, thrilled

Her teacher Ashish Swami is also thrilled about exhibition; he said that Jhiya Bai Baiga has a lot more to achieve. Speaking to media, he lauded her for overcoming her pain. "Leaving her pain and sorrow behind, she has always been focused. Her painting is being shown in Italy and I'm really happy for her, however, it seems that she has more to achieve," Ashish Swami said.

'This will motivate ivasi Community'

While speaking to media, Ashish Swami also said that this is a proud moment for ivasi community. He also said that this will motivate or members of ivasi community to eng in different activities.

 "It is a proud moment for ivasi community as y have t h proper education. This will motivate or community people to come forward and get indulge in se kinds of activities," Ashish Swami said.
