MPDO accuses YSRCP MLA of harassment, threatening her family
An MPDO has accused Yuvajana Sramika Rythu Congress Party MLA Sridhar Reddy of harassment and threatening her family after she refused to do him a favour

K Sridhar Reddy, MLA of ruling Yuvajana Sramika Rythu Congress Party (YSRCP) from Nellore has recently been accused by a Government officer of threatening her family members. According to officer Sarala, MLA threatened her family members after she refused to grant him a favour. Sarala, a Mandal Parish Development Officer (MPDO) from town Venkatachalam, stated that Reddy visited her house on Friday night. She furr ded that he threatened her family members after she refused to provide for water connection to a layout that was being developed by his followers.

Sarla accused MLA of multiple things. Government official stated that power, cable, and water connections of her house has been cut. This came after officer declined to grant permission to MLA to install a tap which would be connected to land of one of his subordinates. Post incident, MPDO went ahe to file a complaint against Reddy at Nellore rural police station. However, cops refused to book an FIR. So, MPDO sat on a midnight protest after which cops booked an FIR. MLA was arrested in wee hours of October 6.

Telugu Desam Party slams ruling YSRCP
TDP Chief and former Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu slammed party over issue. Naidu stated that re is an absence of law and order in state. He furr questioned policing in state. YSRCP Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy in a statement asked police to take appropriate action after he was briefed on matter. Director-General of Police (DGP) Gautam Sawang briefed CM on issue following which CM stated that necessary actions against MLA must be taken if re is equate evidence.
