MUDA Scam Explodes in Karnataka, Complaint Registered Against CM Siddaramaiah, Relatives

Mysuru: A complaint was lodged against Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah at Vijayanagar Police Station in Mysuru. NCR registered a complaint against CM Siddaramaiah, his wife Parvathy, his bror-in-law Mallikarjuna Swamy, Devaraj, who claimed to be a land owner and his family. complaint also alleges involvement of deputy commissioner, tahsildar, deputy registrar and MUDA officials in same case.

It is alleged that Mysore Urban Development Authority was allegedly cheated by creating fake documents and obtaining plots worth crores of rupees.

complaint was filed by social activist Snehamayi Krishna. Along with police, letter has also been written to governor, state chief secretary and principal secretary of revenue department. Snehamayi Krishna has raised several questions related to case through letter.

Below are allegations levelled by social activist Snehamayi Krishna against Siddaramaiah and his family…

1. In Parvathy's case (land allotted to CM's wife), re is doubt about gazette, which has been dropped from land acquisition.

2. Question about Devaraj's existence as son of original land owner.

3. If it is true that land was excluded from possession in 1998, why is re a mention of land acquisition in RTCs up to 2010?

4. If land was owned by Devaraj and later Mallikarjuna Swamy, why was development work of authority not stopped?

5. While transferring land deed in name of Mallikarjuna and Parvathy, was plot not inspected?

6. How did this account for agricultural land even though MUDA was found to have developed it?

7. Why is re no mention of many documents, including family tree of actual land owner, death certificate, etc?

8. What is reason for dropping acquisition of 3.16 acres of land in Survey No. 464 of Kesare village?

9. If Mallikarjuna Swamy alienated land in 2005 itself, why is re no mention in RTCs?

10. Was re any powerful person behind this?

11. Section 10 of RTC for year 2004-05 mentions MR8/92-93. MR shows that it belongs to one Marappa.

12. It is a big suspicion that dress of Devaraj's family, who sold land to Mallikarjuna Swamy, is not re.

Snehamayi Krishna while speaking to Republic alleged, "re are a lot of discrepancies in documents, which have been presented before MUDA. re seems to be foul play here in allotting plots to Parvathy, wife of CM Siddarmaiah, refore I have lodged a complaint against him. re is so much suspicion in case and refore it should be thoroughly investigated. reply has to be given within 10 days.

Orwise, I will file a public interest litigation in state High Court."

Meanwhile, CM Siddaramaiah has said that se allegations are false and baseless and stated that MUDA h to give m land, which was acquired from his wife and re was encroachment too.

Speaking to media, he said, “MUDA acquired three acres and 16 guntas of land, which is to tune of over Rs 60 crores. Our land was also encroached upon and refore y have given us a plot.”

He said, " MUDA should give us land for land. We h not asked for any specific area. When was site given? It was given in 2021, BJP was in power n and y h given plot. Our land has been me into a park, should I leave my site? Who is at fault? Am I at fault? Who was in power in state? land given is wrong, land value will be Rs 62 crore; let m give it to us, and let m take plot back. I do not know about land value given."
