Mumbai Airport Gets Bomb Threat, Efforts Underway to Trace Caller

Mumbai: Central Industrial Industrial Force (CISF) control room at Mumbai's Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport received a bomb threat on Wednesday afternoon.

As per reports, an unidentified caller informed control room about a supposed plot to bomb airport where caller specifically mentioned an individual named Mohamm, was allegedly carrying explosives on a flight departing from Mumbai to Azerbaijan.

Upon receiving threat, CISF personnel immediately alerted Sahar Police and launched a swift security check at airport premises.

Furrmore, authorities intensified surveillance and conducted thorough checks to ensure passenger safety.

Amid a surge in airline threat calls, National Investigation Agency (NIA) stepped up security measures nationwide.

IndiGo Flight Makes Emergency Landing

A Kolkata-bound IndiGo flight with over 180 passengers and six crew members onboard me an emergency landing at Raipur airport on Thursday morning following a bomb threat to aircraft, police said.

aircraft initially took off from Nagpur for Kolkata, and was diverted after airport authorities received threat, Raipur's Senior Superintendent of Police Santosh Singh said.

This comes as more than 450 hoax calls were reported in October, raising widespre concern regarding potential implications for passenger safety and national security.
