Mumbai Horror: 13-Year-Old School Girl Sexually Assaulted by Rickshaw Driver in Chembur

A 13-year-old school girl in Mumbai's Chembur area was sexually assaulted by a rickshaw driver who also threatened to kill the victim if she said anything.

Mumbai: Another case of sexual assault has been reported in Mumbai, where a 13-year-old girl in Chembur was sexually assaulted by an autorickshaw driver who also threatened to kill her in case she told anyone about the incident. A case has been registered by the police but the accused is still on the run.

Mumbai Horror: Teen Sexually Assaulted by Rickshaw Driver

According to the information received from Chembur Police, the incident took place between 22 July and 13 September. The 13-year-old victim who lived in Kurla with her family and studied in a school in Chembur, had caught a rickshaw to go to school.

However, the rickshaw driver took advantage of it; after seeing her alone the accused took the victim to a deserted building near Chembur Naka and tried to rape her.

Accused Threatened to Kill Minor Victim

Not only this, when the girl protested the accused threatened to kill her if she told anyone about the incident. The girl was very scared due to the incident. When the mother noticed a change in the girl's behavior, she took the girl into confidence and asked her. 

The girl told about the incident after this, the mother of the victim girl reached the nearest Chembur Police Station and lodged a complaint against the accused rickshaw driver.

Case Registered, Autorickshaw Driver on the Run

Following the complaint made by the mother, the Chembur Police of Mumbai registered a case against the unknown rickshaw driver under BNS Section and POCSO Act. The accused is absconding and the police is currently searching for the accused.
