Mumbai: Police have arrested an animal abuser who was caught on tape beating a dog. The arrest by Mumbai Police followed an FIR registered by the dog’s owners, as per initial reports. The incident took place in a veterinary clinic named ‘Vetic Pet Clinic’ in the Mumbai Thane area.

Netizens, after witnessing the brutal act, stated, "Individuals responsible for such abuse should be behind bars."
They added, "It's imperative for proper background verification to be conducted before hiring grooming staff. This behavior is utterly disgusting—no pet should ever endure such treatment."
Furthermore, another individual who also worked at the same pet clinic and had recorded the entire incident was also arrested by the Mumbai Police.
Vetic Pet Clinic Shares its Stance on Incident
The Vetic Pet Clinic reached out to Republic and shared their official statement following the arrest of the workers. In their statement, they stated, “This is a deeply disturbing incident involving a pet and two of our groomers. As pet parents and animal lovers, this is shocking and completely unacceptable to us. As a first step, we have immediately terminated both of them and launched a formal investigation into this. We are also working alongside the authorities and have initiated police action in this matter.
"We understand the trust you place in us when you choose Vetic for your furry baby's care, and we are committed to upholding that trust with the highest standards of compassion and professionalism,” said a Vetic spokesperson.”
