Mumbai Police takes measures to control eve-teasing during Navratri
The Mumbai police along with its counterparts in Navi Mumbai will keep a watchful eye to ensure law and order is upheld during the Navratri celebrations

Mumbai police along with its counterparts in neighbouring Navi Mumbai is geared up to ensure law and order during Navratri celebrations are upheld. y will reportedly keep a close watch for "eve-teasers". As per a top Mumbai police official, officers in plainclos will be present at celebration venues and will keep a keen eye on crowd, especially youths.

Security apparatus during festivals
DCP (Zone XI) Mohan Dahikar said that,
"During such festivals, we make every effort to ensure security and law and order. safety of people is our priority. We will take strict action against those found indulging in eve-teasing or indecent acts, As far as Garba venues are concerned,"

To ensure security, CCTV cameras will be placed inside and outside venues. officials will also patrol different locations and anti-Romeo squs will keep a tab on such miscreants, he ded.
DCP Zone 12 Dr. DS Swami said,

"Men and women police personnel will be posted at Garba venues in plainclos. We will increase patrolling in our jurisdiction and keep a tab on anti-social elements."
Anil Deshmukh, senior inspector from Vashi police station, said re are four big mandals in area and police have set up anti-Romeo squs.

Eve-teasing incidents
In a recent incident, a man took to Twitter and requested police to take action against a crowd garing opposite Monarch Nagar building JB Nagar, Andheri East. man stated that group gars every day and eve teases leing to fights in vicinity. se incidents are reasons for such vigil security. To offer ded security, Garba mandals have been asked to install CCTV cameras inside pandals and also at prime locations along ros, sources said. tably, it was reported that during Ganpati festivities last year, such incidents were recorded in some parts of Mumbai.
