Mumbai Rains didn't cause this viral 'waterfall', here's what did

In a shocking video shared on twitter, New Cuffe Parade witnesses a waterfall gushing amidst Mumbai rains making it look like the aftermath of heavy rainfall.

Amidst the heavy rains in the city of Mumbai, New Cuffe Parade witnessed a waterfall gushing through the cement and the bricks in an astonishing video on Wednesday. This video was shared on twitter by K Sudarshan. Initially coming off as probable damage done by the incessant rain, it was found out to be something else. The Lodha New Cuffe Parade team notified that the incident occurred as a result of testing of a new water tank.

New Cuffe Parade waterfall 

The incident occurred as a result of a new vendor testing the water tank. The tank was being tested at the building T5 (Dioro). It was reported that the tank had sustained a rupture in the body. As a result of the rupture, water came gushing out.

Meanwhile, BMC on Mumbai Rains 

As a result of continual rains in Mumbai, Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) issued a statement asking the schools in the city and the suburbs to remain closed. BMC also cautioned the educational institutes to ensure safe travel back home for the school children. The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a 'red alert'. IMD also predicted heavy rainfall in the city and the nearby areas.
