New Traffic Advisory Issued for Mount Mary Fair in Mumbai's Bandra | Image: PTI

Mumbai: The Mumbai Police have released a special traffic advisory to manage crowd and traffic flow during the upcoming Mount Mary Fair, scheduled to take place in Bandra. The advisory will be in effect from 12:01 AM on September 8, 2024, until 11:59 PM on September 16, 2024.

Check Routes and Guidelines to Travel Hassel-Free

To ensure smooth movement during the event, the following roads will be closed to all vehicles, except for local residents with authorised passes and emergency vehicles, between 6:00 AM and 11:00 PM.

  • Mount Mary Road will be closed to non-residents. Local residents with car passes will be allowed.
  • Kane Road will operate as a one-way street from its junction with Mount Mary Road to BJ Road. Vehicles coming from BJ Road will not have access.
  • Pereira Road will be one-way from East to West, with entry from BJ Road restricted.
  • St. John Baptista Road will be fully closed to vehicular traffic, except for residents with special passes.
  • The right turn from Chapel Road to Veronika Road*at Carmel Church will be blocked to all vehicles.

Parking Guidelines During the Fair

Additionally, parking restrictions will be enforced on both sides of several roads from 6:00 AM on September 8 until 11:00 PM on September 16. These roads include, Mount Mary Road, Pereira Road, Kane Road, Hill Road, Mt. Carmel Road, Chapel Road, St. John Baptista Road, St. Sebastian Road, Rebello Road, Paul Road. 

Motorcycle riders are advised to plan their routes ahead of time, adhere to traffic regulations, and avoid restricted areas to reduce congestion and ensure a smooth journey during the fair.
