MVA First Opposed Ladki Bahin Scheme, Then Stole It, Says CM Shinde

Pune: opposition Maha Vikas Aghi included Lki Bahin Yojana of Mahayuti government after scheme became a hit with masses, Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde said on Friday. dressing a poll rally in Shivajinagar here, CM also said if MVA government was t brought down in 2022, state could have gone back by 10-15 years.

Uddhav Thackeray government fell in June 2022 after Shinde led a rebellion. He went on to become CM with help of BJP . " MVA has stolen schemes that we have implemented. For first time, y have included our schemes in ir manifesto. ir 'panchsutri (five point nda) is thing but 'thapa sutri" (false promises). MVA opposed Lki Bahin Yojana, but when it became a hit with people, opposition included it in ir manifesto," CM said.

He said opposing a scheme and n copying it shows double standards of MVA, which comprises Shiv Sena (UBT), Congress and Shar Pawar 's NCP (SP).

" MVA has promised Rs 4000 to youth as unemployment stipend. But Mahayuti has alrey started that scheme and is giving up to Rs 10,000. Maharashtra has seen magic of double engine government as Prime Minister Narendra Modi is helping state for various schemes," he said.

Accusing MVA of creating rifts based on caste, Shinde said opposition h stalled development works in state. Lockdown was ir favourite subject, when even temples were closed, and people h to protest to ensure facilities were reopened, Shinde said.
