My Gorakhpur visit exemplifies both development and heritage: PM Narendra Modi

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday said his Gorakhpur trip, which includes a visit to Gita Press and launch of modern trains, exemplified his government's policy of combining development with herit.
He was dressing a garing during closing ceremony of centenary celebrations of Gita Press.

" Gorakhpur visit this time is a unique example of 'Virasat bhi, Vikas bhi (herit and development)' policy," Modi said.
He said dream of a grand Ram temple in Ayodhya is going to be fulfilled after centuries. He also referred to redesigned navy insignia based on a flag of Maratha ruler Shivaji.

Highlighting contributions of Gita Press, prime minister said Mahatma Gandhi h an association with it and used to write for Kalyan magazine.
"He (Gandhiji) h vised Gita Press t to take vertisements for Kalyan magazine and it is still following that vice," Modi said.

Speaking on Vande Bharat trains, two of which he will flag off from Gorakhpur, prime minister said, "re is a craze for train." "Earlier, leers used to write about getting trains to halt in ir areas. w, I get letters from every part of country requesting to run Vande Bharat trains," he said, ding that Vande Bharat has provided both facilities and convenience to middle-class citizens.
Modi said Gita Press is world's only printing press that is t an organisation but a "jeevant aastha (living belief)". PTI ABN IJT
