"It h a hard-landing very close to planned (touch-down) site as per ims sent by on-board camera of orbiter. lander is re as a single piece, t broken into pieces. It's in a tilted position," an ISRO official associated with mission claimed to PTI.
Communication efforts to continue
Earlier, ISRO Chairman K Sivan h said on Saturday that ncy would try to restore link with lander for 14 days and reiterated resolve on Sunday after orbiter's camera spotted it on Lunar surface. An ISRO official said: "Unless and until everything is intact (lander), it's very difficult (to re-establish contact). Alrey it's lying on surface of Moon, and we cant reorient it. Vital thing is antennas will have to be pointed towards ground station or orbiter. Such an operation is extremely difficult. At same time, chances are good and we will have to keep our fingers crossed," official ded.
