'Sonia Gandhi's appeal was more like provocation than call for peace': Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi

Union Minister of Minority Affairs, Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi expressed anguish over Sonia Gandhi’s message expressing solidarity with the protesting students.

Union Minister of Mirity Affairs, Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi expressed anguish over Sonia Gandhi’s televised mess expressing solidarity with  protesting students across nation. He accused her of provocation inste of calming situation down. Naqvi also reiterated his old claims stating that Indian Muslim will be affected by Citizenship (Amendment) Act and body should be fooled by people who are trying to create unrest in country.

Talking about violence during anti-CAA protests, Naqvi said, “Unfortunately, some people are provoking violence inste of trying to bring back peace in country. We thought Congress President will appeal for peace, but appeal seemed more like a provocation than call for peace. You can understand motive behind it. I think brorhood is strength of this nation and that is what our PM propagates.”

Naqvi also said, “I want to assure my Muslim brors that y are completely safe, and ir Constitutional rights are protected. people who are trying to hide a mountain of truth with a tree of lies, my Muslim brors should understand ir motive and intention. y should t be fooled by lies. This Act does t question any Indian’s citizenship. person who is born here will always be here. whole nation wants peace. This is land of Gandhi. re is place for violence here.”

As uproar over Citizenship Amendment Act intensifies, Congress President Sonia Gandhi expressed solidarity with students who are protesting against  Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA). She released a video statement on Friday.  interim Congress President in  video lashed out at BJP government over 'divisive politics and brute repression' against youth and citizens across country.
