Naxal Attack: 2 Jawans Killed In Action, Several Injured In IED Blast In Chhattisgarh's Bijapur
Two jawans were killed in action and four injured in an IED blast by Naxalites in Bijapur.

Raipur: Two jawans were killed in action and four injured in a Naxalite Improvised Explosive Device (IED) blast in Chhattisgarh's Bijapur on Thursday.
The soldiers killed have been identified as State Task Force's Chief Constable Bharat Lal Sahu and Constable Sater Singh. The incident happened while the jawans were coming back from an operation. The wounded soldiers have been airlifted and sent to Raipur, where they will receive medical attention, according to reports.

The blast took place on Wednesday night as the security forces were returning through the dense forest of Mandimarka after an operation against Naxals. The anti-naxal operation was launched on Tuesday after receiving intel about the presence of Maoists in Darbha. A joint operation, comprising of STF, District Reserve Group, the CoBRA commandoes and the CRPF, was undertaken.
Last month, two CRPF personnel lost their lives in an IED blast by the Maoists in Sukma district. Two CoBRA personnel were blown up in an IED blast on June 23 in Bastar region's Sukma district.
