NEET-UG Exam Irregularities: CBI Arrests Key Conspirator From Jharkhand's Dhanbad
CBI has arrested one of the main accused in the NEET-UG irregularities case. The accused is a very important link in the paper leak case.

Dhanbad (Jharkhand): Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has arrested Aman Singh, one of the main accused from Dhanbad for his alleged role in a matter related to irregularities in NEET UG examination.
According to CBI sources, Aman Singh is a very important link in the paper leak case and is connected to the syndicate of Bihar-Jharkhand.
A total of seven arrests have been made so far in connection with the NEET-UG probe.
Earlier, the Central Bureau of Investigation on Sunday arrested the owner of a private school in Gujarat's Godhra in connection with alleged malpractices in the NEET-UG exam.
Dixit Patel, owner of Jay Jalaram School situated near Godhra in Panchmahal district where the exam was conducted, was arrested in the early hours from his residence, said public prosecutor Rakesh Thakor, adding that Patel is now being taken to Ahmedabad by the CBI to acquire his remand.
The National Testing Agency (NTA) announced the results of the NEET-UG retest on Monday, July 1. The re-examination, held on June 23, was for 1,563 candidates who were granted grace marks due to time loss experienced during the original exam on May 5. However, only 813 candidates attended the retest, with many opting to retain their original scores without the grace marks.
The National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (Undergraduate) or NEET, formerly the All India Pre-Medical Test, is a nationwide entrance examination conducted by the National Testing Agency for admission in undergraduate medical programs.
Meanwhile, the National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test-Post Graduate (NEET-PG) 2024 is likely to be held mid-August. The revised date for the medical entrance exam is expected to be announced this week.
A meeting was held in the Union home ministry on Monday, in which officials from the health ministry, National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences (NBEMS), along with its technical partner Tata Consultancy Services (TCS), and Cyber Cell officials discussed the preparedness for the NEET-PG, which is to be held online.
