Nepal Accident: Post-Mortem of Indian Pilgrims Being Conducted

post-mortem of 27 Indian pilgrims who were killed in tragic bus accident in Nepal was underway in a hospital in Bagmati province on Saturday, ahe of transportation of bodies to Maharashtra, a media report said.

At least 27 Indian pilgrims, all from Maharashtra, who were in Nepal for a 10-day tour, were killed and 16 ors injured after ir bus veered off highway and fell into a fast-flowing river in central Nepal on Friday.

post-mortem of bodies is being held in Bharatpur Hospital in Chitwan district of Bagmati province, MyRepublica news portal reported.

bodies were sent from Anbu Khaireni Hospital to Chitwan for a post-mortem, report said, quoting Deputy Superintendent of Police Deepak Rai.

Indian Air Force Plane to Bring Bodies to Nashik

An Indian Air Force plane will bring bodies of Maharashtra pilgrims killed in a bus accident in Nepal to Nashik on Saturday, officials have said.

Trdy struck rth Maharashtra’s Jalgaon district on Friday as at least 27 pilgrims from region died after tourist bus y were travelling in veered off highway and fell into fast-flowing Marsyangdi river in central Nepal.

victims were from Varangaon, Daryapur, Talvel and Bhusaval in Jalgaon district, 470 km from Mumbai, officials said.

Chief Minister Eknath Shinde spoke to Union Home Minister Amit Shah who assured all possible help, y ded.

An Indian Air Force plane will transport bodies to Nashik on Saturday, said a state government release late on Friday evening.

Indian Bus Plunged into River in Nepal

incident occurred in Anbookhaireni area in Chitawan district of Nepal when bus from Gorakhpur carrying 43 passengers, including driver and two helpers, was heing towards Kathmandu from Pokhara.

While 16 people died on spot, 11 succumbed to ir injuries during treatment, Deputy Spokesperson of Armed Police Force (APF) Shailendra Thapa told PTI in Kathmandu.

Sixteen people who sustained injuries have been airlifted to Kathmandu and mitted at Tribhuvan University Teaching Hospital, he said.

passengers were part of a group of 104 Indian pilgrims who arrived in Nepal from Maharashtra in three buses two days ago for a 10-day tour of Himalayan nation, MyRepublica news portal reported.

Nepal Bus Accident: List of Deceased Indian Pilgrims

Union minister Raksha Khse, his daughter-in-law, will travel to Kathmandu as she h received permission from PMO to oversee return of victims and survivors, he ded.

Maharashtra government identified 16 persons from Jalgaon as "reported deceased".

Ramjeet alias Munna, Sarla Rane (42), Bharti Jawe (62), Tulshiram Tawe (62), Sarla Tawe (62), Sandeep Sarode (45), Pallavi Sarode (43), Anup Sarode (22), Ganesh Bharambe (40), Nilima Dhande (57), Pankaj Bhange (45), Pari Bharambe (8 years), Anita Patil, Vijaya Jhawe (50), Rohini Jhawe (51) and Prakash Kodi reportedly died in accident, it said.
