NIA Raids Multiple Locations In Punjab In Terror Related Case Involving SFJ Chief Pannun
NIA conducted raids at 4 locations in Punjab in a terror-related case involving Sikhs for Justice chief Gurpatwant Singh Pannun
New Delhi: The National Investigation Agency (NIA), in a crackdown on a terror-related case involving Sikhs for Justice (SFJ) chief Gurpatwant Singh Pannun, recovered various incriminating materials and digital devices on Friday, during its searches at four locations across Punjab . The NIA’s raids were related to a case pertaining to the promotion of terror-related activities and violence by Pannun.
The NIA teams swooped down at one location in Moga, two locations in Bathinda, and one location in Mohali at premises connected with suspects in the case, which was registered last year.
During the search conducted by the NIA, the various incriminating materials, including digital devices were seized and sent for forensic examination.
A senior official of the NIA said that the case relates to the conspiracy by Pannun with other members of Sikhs for Justice (SFJ).
The NIA had registered the case against Pannun on November 17, 2023, under relevant sections of the IPC including the UA(P) Act.
Further investigations into the case are underway.
