In a sensational scoop, Republic TV has tracked down the London 'addresses' of Nirav Modi, who is on the run having fled from India weeks before the stunning Rs 12,000 crore bank scam he's accused of came to light. The Gitanjali Gems chief's hideouts in London have also been mentioned in extradition notices that have been served to Nirav Modi by the CBI.
The fugitive fraud-accused's first hideout is located in London's fashionable and central Westminster area, on the thirteenth and top-most floor of an upscale residential building. The flat number on the thirteenth floor is No.103. The door opposite to it, 104, has an 'Om' symbol on it.

The building, apart from being high-end, is also heavily secured. On the first day, Republic TV's Senior News Editor Shawan Sen wasn't able to enter, but on the second, he managed to bypass security and made it to the top floor. The doors are outfitted with a buzzer system whereby the person who buzzes in can speak to those inside, who may or may not then decide to open the door. The door, however, doesn't appear to be sound-proof, as Shawan was able to hear voices behind the door opposite and even make out what seemed to be an Indian accent with a British twang.
The building appears to be manned by a manager named Anthony who also serves as security, interrogating Shawan when he returned to the reception from the thirteenth floor. Anthony also received a phone call, during which he appeared to take instructions, and later seemed to scope out how much Shawan knew about Nirav Modi's doings and whereabouts. Anthony also mentioned that one more journalist had come to the apartment building seeking Nirav Modi.
Nirav Modi's second hideout, which is also listed on the CBI's extradition note, is in a fancy luxury apartment block located next to the Tower of London. He's been shuffling between the two addresses for the last few months.
The tracking down of Nirav Modi's addresses and an ensuing conversation with his brother Neeshal who claims to be in Belgium comes months after the massive PNB Bank scam came to light. Since it emerged that Nirav Modi had fled the country even before that, there has been significant speculation regarding his whereabouts, with Brussels, New York, Hong Kong and London being listed as probable locations where he may be.
In a related matter, a few weeks before visiting Nirav Modi's London addresses, Republic TV obtained confirmation, from no less than the Prime Minister of Antigua, that Mehul Choksi, Nirav Modi's uncle and co-accused in the scam, had become a citizen of the West Indian island nation.
