Mumbai: Nita Ambani, philanthropist, industrialist and wife of Reliance chairman Mukesh Ambani on Tuesday paid tributes to visionary Ratan Tata, who died on October 9, saying he was a 'Great son of India'. In a statement, Ambanis said that Reliance leership and thousands of employees pay tribute to Ratan Tata at Reliance Industries Annual Diwali dinner.

dressing Reliance Industries annual Diwali dinner, Nita Ambani said, “I have a solid duty to perform four days ago. We lost a great son of India. passing of Mr. Ratan Tata filled us all with immense grief. He was a dear friend of my far-in-law, of Mukesh (her husband) and of our family. He was also a mentor to Akash, he was a visionary industrialist and a philanthropist, who always worked for society. I request all of you to stand and observe a minute to silence in honour of Rata Tata."
Nation bids tearful goodbye to Ratan Tata
Corporate leers, politicians and celebrities joined hundreds of people on Thursday as y bid final ieu to one of India's most respected and internationally recognised business leers, Ratan Tata, who died aged 86.

Last rites were performed at Mumbai's Worli Crematorium with full state honours in presence of Union Home Minister Amit Shah , his cabinet colleague Piyush Goyal, Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde , his deputy Devendra Fnavis , and Congress leer and former chief minister Sushilkumar Shinde.
Family and friends as well as top officials of Tata group joined ceremony where Mumbai Police paid tribute to Tata with a gun salute.

Ratan Tata bread his last on October 9
Tata, former Tata Group chairman who transformed a staid group into India's largest and most influential conglomerate with a string of eye-catching deals bread his last at south Mumbai's Breach Candy Hospital at 11.30 pm on October 9.
Maharashtra as well as half a dozen or states declared one day mourning while some official programmes, including a scheduled press conference by Goyal on his US visit, were cancelled in his honour.
