Amid dely Coronavirus outbreak, spiritual leer Shguru on Wednesday said that re are positive cases of Coronavirus reported at Isha Yoga Center in Coimbatore, Tamil Nu. According to press release, Yoga center acted quickly and took preventive measures even before World Health Organization declared COVID-19 as a pandemic.

" Yoga Center which receives several international visitors moved swiftly to put directives in place even before World Health Organization declared COVID-19 a pandemic and much before central and state governments anunced lockdowns and imposed travel bans. Isha requested visitors from China, Japan, Singapore and or COVID-19 affected countries, t to travel to Yoga Center as a precautionary measure, both for travellers as well as larger community. Even people who h been to COVID-19 affected countries, including transits and airport layovers, were requested t to visit Yoga Center," official statement said.

'Mandatory screening and physical distancing'

It also mentioned that Isha foundation has been regularly following mandatory screening and physical distancing protocols. statement furr ded, "Isha has been following mandatory screening and physical distancing protocols ever since. Or foreign nationals who visited Center were requested to observe a mandatory 28-day quarantine period. Residents and volunteers who are used to Isha’s rigorous herence to health and hygiene protocols even in rmal times, are w undergoing mandatory screening every two days. protocols also apply to security, housekeeping and or ground staff who reside at Yoga Center. Hand sanitizers have been me available at several locations on premises."

"State health officials who have been visiting Yoga Center to conduct screenings and checks since February have found COVID-19 positive cases. Recently, Isha offered its premises to state government to help contain spre, should outbreak accelerate. Yoga Center is t only well equipped to comply with all screening protocols but has h a he start in establishing physical distancing and quarantine rules," it ded.
