No deviation from HRD Ministry's fee hike 'formula': JNU VC

"As far as fee issue is concerned, re has been deviation from formula arrived at HRD Ministry last month. As decided, students are t being charged any services or utility fees," Kumar said.

"We have also written to UGC to release funds for covering utility and service charges as decided," he ded.

Amid outr by students over a proposed fee hike, HRD Ministry h intervened last month and formed a three-member committee to resolve stand-off between university and its ministration.

As per formula decided, utility and service charges were supposed to be borne by UGC and t students, who h to pay only room rent. However, students have been demanding a complete rollback of fee hike.
