Notorious Criminal Arrested After Encounter in North East Delhi's Seelampur

New Delhi: Delhi police on Saturday nabbed a torious criminal wanted in a shooting incident in rth East Delhi’s Seelampur area after an encounter. A police team of Seelampur police station arrested accused, who sustained a bullet injury on his leg and shifted to a nearby hospital. According to police, accused fired a gunshot at police personnel from behind a tree, but cop narrowly escaped bullet. In retaliatory firing, accused sustained a gunshot injury on his leg.

Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP, rth East Delhi) stated that secret information was received regarding suspect wanted in connection with a shooting incident on vember 2. intelligence input claimed that accused was set to meet one of his associates at Tikona Park near Dharampura red light at 8 pm.

Based on information, police personnel positioned mselves discreetly around park, scanning for any sign of suspect. As HC Navnesh and Constable Manish entered through main gate, accused, hiding behind a tree, fired a gunshot, pointing at m. police personnel narrowly missed bullet.

HC Navnesh immediately resorted to retaliatory firing from his service pistol causing bullet injury in right leg of accused. attacker, later identified as 19-year-old Md nan, was nabbed by police and his weapon was seized.
