A new #10YearChallenge trend began earlier this month on Twitter, with the social media users posting about the difference that has taken place in their lives in the last decade. It took the social media by storm, and in no time became a favorite among Twitterati.

Now, usurping the #10YearChallenge is the #5YearChallenge started by the BJP, which became the topmost trend in no time on Twitter on Friday. The very trend sees the Twitterati highlight the changes in the past five years that have taken place in the country, especially in terms of development.

Following are some of the tweets using the #5YearChallenge:

The #5YearChallenge speaks about the development that has taken place in the past five years under the leadership of BJP and Prime Minister Narendra Modi. The Twitter has been flooded with messages using the hashtag to highlight the difference between the condition of India under previous government's tenure and condition under present government's tenure.

This recent trend is in line with the words echoed by PM Narendra Modi during the inaugural Republic Summit. The Prime Minister had spoken about 'two-window' comparison, suggesting how India fared earlier and how the country is faring at the present time.

"Four years ago no one had thought that India would soon step up to join the Five Trillion Dollar Economies Club. Did four years ago anybody thought that the ranking of Ease of Doing Business would come from 142 to 77, India would move towards the Top 50? Complete system of government, complete machinery is made of sustainable development of 70 years. Four and a half years ago, this was the same system, this was the machinery. But today the speed and scale of work have increased manifold," he had said.
