Berhampur: A 25-year-old man and his friend were arrested on Sunday in Odisha 's Ganjam district, for allegedly murdering his wife over suspicions of an extra-marital affair, police reported. accused, identified as Pintu Naik and his friend Partha Naik, 22, reportedly carried out brutal act on October 17 in Baga area within Sheraga police station limits.

According to investigators, Pintu allegedly killed his wife, Jhumuri, 24, by repeatedly hitting her with sharp stones tied to a string and later disposed of her body in a forest. decomposed body was discovered on October 26.

Agreeing to go, Jhumuri accompanied m on a motorcycle driven by Partha. Near a forest area, y stopped, and Pintu allegedly attacked Jhumuri with stones until she died, officials said.
