Odisha: More than 70 shops gutted due to a fire in Golbazar market

On Monday morning, more than 70 shops were gutted due to a massive fire that broke out in the Golbazar vegetable market in Sambalpur, Odisha.

On Monday morning, more than 70 shops were gutted due to a massive fire that broke out in  Golbazar vegetable market in Sambalpur, Odisha. Reportedly, fire was caused by a lamp that fell over, after a puja was conducted on market premises at about 2.30 am. reafter, fire brige immediately rushed to spot and mand to put out fire after two hours. Fortunately, casualties were reported. Jitendra Das, assistant fire officer stated that extent of dam could only be determined after a thorough investigation.

Das said, " matter is under investigation, and only after it is completed, we will kw extent of dam caused by fire.”

Fire incidents

re have been multiple such incidents on Monday. Earlier, a fire broke out in a cloth shop in  Panchor area of Rajgarh, Mhya Presh. entire shop was destroyed in fire. Many fire tenders were required to douse fire. A person was grievously injured and shifted to Indore for furr treatment.

At approximately 1 am, a plastic product warehouse in Sion, Mumbai was affected by outbreak of fire. 4 fire engines were immediately rushed to spot after receiving information. After an hour-long effort, fire was finally extinguished. As person was present in warehouse, re were reports of any casualties or injuries.
