One Killed, 12 Injured as Truck Hits Passenger Vehicle in MP

Morena (MP): A driver was killed and 12 others were injured when a truck rear-ended a passenger vehicle near a toll post in Madhya Pradesh's Morena district, late Sunday night, according to police reports.

A Civil Lines police station official said that the tragic accident occurred around 11 p.m. when the driver of the passenger vehicle, identified as Raju Jha, had stopped to fix an issue with the boot door. A speeding truck then collided with the stationary vehicle, causing the truck to overturn. The passenger vehicle was left teetering on the edge of a pit, narrowly avoiding a more severe disaster.

The victims were returning from a pilgrimage to the Ram Raja Temple in Orchha town. All injured individuals were rushed to the district hospital, where their condition is reported to be stable.
