Lucknow: In a scathing attack on Samajwi Party, Chief Minister Yogi ityanath on Friday said while nation's heritage is represented by Ram temple in Ayodhya, SP's "true legacy" is tied to figures like Khan Mubarak, Atiq Ahmed, and Mukhtar Ansari.

Campaigning for Bypolls in Ambedkarnagar and Mirzapur

Bypolls to nine assembly seats in Uttar Presh are scheduled for November 20. ityanath said that under leership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, for past 10 years, nation has me uninterrupted progress in security, poverty alleviation, infrastructure development, and preserving its heritage.

Criticism of Opposition's Approach to Heritage

"In contrast, before 2014, leers of opposition alliance played with national security and disrespected our heritage. Today, Ram Lalla has been enshrined in magnificent Ram temple in Ayodhya, a sight that fills every citizen of country with pride. This is our heritage, which has been repeatedly insulted by people of Samajwi Party," chief minister said.

Linking SP's Legacy to Gangsters

" Samajwi Party's true legacy is tied to figures like Khan Mubarak, Atiq Ahmed, and Mukhtar Ansari," he ded. Khan Mubarak, Atiq Ahmed and Mukhtar Ansari were gangsters. Later, Ahmed and Ansari h joined politics.

Deviation from Dr. Lohia's Ideals

ityanath also claimed that SP has strayed from values and ideals of Dr Ram Manohar Lohia.

He said, "While significant development work is being carried out in state, our heritage is also being honoured. Though Dr (Ram Manohar) Lohia was born in Ambedkar Nagar, Samajwi Party has strayed far from values and ideals upheld by him and Acharya Narendra Dev. This is why y avoid visiting memorial of Maharaja Suheldev. y fear that doing so might alienate ir Muslim vote bank."

Heritage and Development Highlighted in Campaign

rallies were attended by several ministers, including Swatantra Dev Singh, Om Prakash Rajbhar, Sanjay Nish, Dayashankar Mishra Dayalu, and Legislative Council member Dhamendra Singh. While dressing poll rally in Katehari, CM ityanath highlighted achievements of NDA government in honouring heritage and promoting development.

He mentioned grand memorial of Maharaja Suheldev in Bahraich, built to commemorate one of India's great warriors. ditionally, a 56-foot-high statue symbolising friendship between Lord Ram and Nishraj has been installed in Shringverpur, reflecting government's respect for cultural tritions, he said.

Criticism of SP's Disrespect for Tritions

He criticised Samajwi Party (SP) for "disrespecting" tritions, farmers, and youth. CM also emphasised transformative development happening across state, including in Katehari.

He noted government's efforts to provide free LPG cylinders, and pensions for senior citizens, widows, and disabled, and to ensure benefits reach all without discrimination. "Unlike previous governments, which selectively distributed benefits, current ministration is working with principle of Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas," he said.

Zero Poverty Scheme and Welfare Initiatives

Highlighting state's ambitious 'Zero Poverty Scheme', ityanath said that a survey is underway to identify beneficiaries. scheme aims to provide free housing, Ayushman cards, ration cards, pensions, and or essential facilities to eliminate poverty in state.

While dressing a public meeting in Majhawan, he emphasised transformative progress being me under PM Modi's leership.

Infrastructure Growth and Ending Mafia Dominance

He pointed out swift pace of infrastructure development across UP, asserting that state has now rid itself of mafia dominance.

"In stark contrast, during Samajwi Party's rule, development was limited to Saifai family and families of powerful mafias. dreed criminals responsible for murders of BJP MLAs Krishnanand Rai and Raju Pal were once celebrated by SP and BSP. Today, UP stands free from mafia influence and fear y instilled," he asserted.

UP: From Riots to Peace

He ded, "Earlier, UP was synonymous with curfews and riots; now, it is defined by peace and progress." CM also provided updates on development projects in Mirzapur, noting that Maa Vindhyavasini Corridor is nearing completion and will soon benefit devotees.

Under 'One District, One Medical College' initiative, construction of a medical college named after Maa Vindhyavasini is progressing rapidly, he said.
