Owaisi’s Anti-BJP Rhetoric, Says Waqf Is Threat To Mosques, Dargahs, Graveyards

Mumbai: Asuddin Owaisi , chief of All India Majlis-e-Ittehul Muslimeen (AIMIM), on Monday, criticized BJP -led government at Centre and in Maharashtra with his usual anti-PM Modi rhetorics, while dressing an election rally in Mumbai. Owaisi, who was attempting to woo voters to vote in favour of AIMIM candidate, invoked Waqf bill issue in his speech, verbally proving it an anti-Muslim bill with a warning. While counting repercussions of bill after becoming a law, he warned Muslims saying that Mosques, Kabrastans, Idgahs and Dargahs will taken away or demolished. AIMIM chief urged people of Maharashtra to vote for AIMIM to stop Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) from moving forward with bill. 

Maharashtra Assembly election is scheduled to be held on vember 20, 2024 to elect 288 members of 15th Maharashtra Legislative Assembly. voting will be done in a single phase on vember 20th and counting will be held on vember 23. At present state has government of Mahayuti alliance under leership of Chief Minister Eknath Shinde of Shiv Sena, with support of BJP and Ajit Pawar led NCP.

Owaisi’s Threat Game On Waqf Bill

Talking to people at rally regarding Waqf bill, Owaisi warned that if bill becomes a law, mosques, dargahs, and graveyards will be taken away, and cremation grounds will t remain intact. He emphasized that collector has been given authority to decide whose land is Waqf or t, which could le to challenges for historic places like Haji Ali Dargah.

He said, “Today Modi has brought law for Waqf. bill he has brought has been introduced in parliament. I am saying this with responsibility that if this bill becomes a law n our mosques will be taken away, dargahs will be taken away, graveyards will be demolished, cremation grounds will t remain intact.”

“Tomorrow, someone will go and talk about Haji Ali Dargah and will ask committee where are papers of Haji Ali Dargah? You tell me how many 100 years old would Haji Ali Dargah be. Which document would y have? Do t think that re will be challenge on it,” he asserted.

“re are many dargahs…..I appeal to you that moving steps of BJP must be stopped,” AIMIM chief stated.  

‘Don’t Fear Modi, Fear Allah’: Owaisi

Owaisi appealed to voters of Mumbai, saying, "I appeal to you that growing steps of BJP must be stopped." He also linked PM Modi and Allah, stating, "Do t fear Modi... fear Allah." He encourd Muslim voters to vote for AIMIM candidate, saying, "If you don't try today, n when will you? Your vote will be valuable when you vote for candidate of your choice. Don't fear Modi... fear Allah. You don't need to fear anyone."

Owaisi Questioned BJP’s Defeat In Ayodhya

Owaisi dressed a public meeting in support of AIMIM candidate Raiees Lashkaria from Versova assembly seat in Behram Baug area of ​​Jogeshwari, Mumbai. He questioned Devendra Fnavis , saying, "Modi talks about vote jih by taking my name. What vote jih was re in Ayodhya, why did you lose re? Devendra, we are t going to be afraid, we will fight and win. I do t beg from anyone. If success is written in my fate, n we will get success."
